The mission of the taskforce is to develop & promote an industry technology roadmap that can be used as a blueprint for device makers to invest in, to meet their proclaimed sustainability goals faster following a systematic, bottom-up approach from ground level. This roadmap leverages Industry 4.0 and 5.0 methodologies to reduce Scope 1 greenhouse gas, & Scope 2 emissions, through enhanced energy efficiency at the cleanroom, sub-fab, and facilities levels, as well as water usage and waste management.
Future papers will focus on water and waste management, equipping device makers with an end-to-end blueprint for sustainable operations.
